Simple yet smart – the Greenwood Unity CV2GIP takes the pain out of domestic ventilation. This dMEV (decentralised Mechanical Extract Ventilation) extractor fan boasts an intelligent design that makes installation, commissioning and day-to-day usage both quick and easy.

It is designed to provide a one-fan ventilation solution for any room – simply install the Unity CV2GIP into the wall or ceiling of kitchens, bathrooms or wet rooms. The short 68mm spigot means it can even be used within shallow ceiling voids without a problem, making it ideal for houses and apartments alike.

SMART technology

Technology is at the forefront of every aspect of our lives these days, and ventilation is no exception. The CV2GIP utilises Greenwood’s innovative SMART technology to meet modern demands in an intuitive design.

The range of technology in the CV2GIP includes automatic humidity sensing, as well as logical overrun timing which helps to reduce both energy waste and heat loss. Everything can be controlled via the SMART touchpad control panel, which can be accessed via twisting the front cover anti-clockwise.

Once the cover has been removed, the control panel enables you to adjust the speed of the fan (both up and down in 1l/s increments), commission airflow rates, activate trickle speed or boost, and activate Greenwood’s HumidiSMART and TimerSMART functions. Everything can be done via this easy-to-use panel, making the entire setup process simple.

What is HumidiSMART?

HumidiSMART is Greenwood’s intelligent humidity sensing technology. It works by continuously monitoring the environment in which the Unity CV2GIP is installed, and determines whether the ventilation needs to boost into action based on a rapid humidity increase. It’s incredibly effective in environments such as bathrooms, as baths, showers and other sources of hot water can cause drastic increases in the humidity levels of the room.

When these increases are detected, the CV2GIP will boost to counteract the increase and maintain the desired level of humidity. When the humidity falls below that threshold, the fan will return to trickle mode.

What is TimerSMART?

TimerSMART offers a dramatic improvement over generic pre-set timer functionality. Where these traditional timers utilise pre-set overrun periods when their boost mode is activated, this innovative piece of Greenwood technology differs in that it uses the duration of the occupancy time to calculate the CV2GIP’s overrun time instead.

What this means is that the CV2GIP will only ventilate the room as much as is needed based on the occupancy time of the room. That occupancy time is determined by how long the fan has been in use from a light switch or pull cord. The less time the fan is active, the less time it will overrun when it’s switched off, meaning less energy wastage, less heat loss, and less frustrating night time running.

Compact and quiet for unobtrusive installation

There’s nothing worse than giant boxes and noisy fans intruding on your spaces. That’s why Greenwood have ensured that the CV2GIP is as discreet as possible. Greenwood are pioneers when it comes to creating sleek designs for extractor fans, being the first company to implement solid fascias on their designs for seamless blending with their environment. The CV2GIP continues that aesthetic, maintaining a modern look with a circular construction to suit the demands of today’s interiors. This subtle design also boasts a quiet fan and motor, boasting an ultra-low noise rating that ranges all the way down to 10dB(A) in low speed mode when installed.

Energy-efficient and compliant performance

Using as little as 1.1W of electricity, the Unity CV2GIP offers outstanding energy performance for any application. This is thanks to an ultra-low energy DC motor and mixed flow impellor. The entire design of the extractor has been built to comply with System 3 in the Building Regulations. It’s also 100% on-site adjustable and assists in the delivery of Guaranteed Installed Performance on-site too which is now a fundamental requirement for Building Regulation compliance.

Key Features

  • One fan, any room, all applications – CV2GIP can be applied to all wet rooms and removes the need for large ducting networks and high background ventilation requirements
  • Delivers the correct airflow performance with the lowest possible energy requirement for Building Regulation compliance
    • A Greenwood GIP product – 100% adjustable on-site for easy compliance, it complies with System 3 (dMEV), removing the need for high background ventilation rates (window vents)
    • EST Best Practice compliance with a Specific Fan Power as low as 0.16 W/l/s
  • Using as little as 1.1 watts, Unity’s energy performance is ideal for directly reducing carbon emissions in SAP
